Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 course is designed to offer the primary knowledge and understanding of cloud-based services and how they are communicated through the Microsoft Azure platform. No. As AZ 900 is the beginner level course in Azure, it is not hard. Anyone with basic knowledge of cloud services, cloud concepts can easily pass the az 900 exam.

Candidates need to score 700 (on a scale of 1-1000) to pass the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 exam.

AZ 900 is the foundational certification. For anyone new to IT or cloud computing, or IT professionals whose org is migrating to  Azure, or if you are a system admin transitioning into cloud based role, this az900 certification is worth gaining the foundational knowledge of Azure Cloud.

$99.00 is the exam cost for az900 in the US. Pricing differs based on the country and region in which the exam is taken.

  1. If you fail in the first attempt, you can wait for 24 hours to retake it. You can go to your dashboard and can reschedule it.
  2.  If you fail the second attempt, you need to wait for 14 days to retake the exam third time. Same applies for fourth and fifth times.
  3.  In an year, the candidate is allowed to take the AZ 900 exam  a maximum of 5 retakes.  (One year is calculated from the day of the fifth unsuccessful exam attempt.)

No for now. Per the latest Microsoft renewal certification trends, fundamental certifications do not expire.
